NNPP Urges Investigation into Dadiyata's Disappearance

The Kano State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has called on Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to initiate an investigation into allegations made by former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai concerning the disappearance of Abubakar Dadiyata. Dadiyata, a social media commentator, was reportedly abducted in Kaduna in 2019, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

In a recent interview, El-Rufai alleged that Dadiyata was not a critic of the Kaduna State government but was a fierce critic of the Kano State government, particularly during the time of former Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The NNPP's statement, issued on Saturday and signed by Engr.

Ibrahim Karay, the party's Public Secretary, emphasized the need for immediate action from Governor Yusuf, stating that the matter should not be ignored. The statement also reminded that Governor Yusuf had promised during his campaign to address issues of injustice, urging a thorough investigation to uphold justice regarding Dadiyata's case.
