Ganduje Calls for Scrutiny on Dadiyata's Disappearance Claims

Abdullahi Ganduje, the Governor of Kano State, has responded to Nasir El-Rufai's claims regarding the disappearance of activist Dadiyata, urging scrutiny of the allegations made by El-Rufai. Muhammad Garba, a former APC national chairman, described El-Rufai's remarks as reckless and unfounded, asserting that the incident occurred entirely within Kaduna State.

Garba emphasized that Dadiyata was known to be a direct critic of the Kaduna State government and highlighted that there is no credible record suggesting Dadiyata's primary focus was on the Kano State government. He called for serious scrutiny of El-Rufai's claims, stressing the need for verified evidence rather than political rhetoric.

Garba noted that Ganduje's two-term administration in Kano has marked a tolerance for criticism and engagement with opposing voices. He also stated that there are no records of arrests or harassment of journalists during Ganduje's tenure.

Garba expressed sympathy for Dadiyata's family and reiterated the importance of uncovering the truth through a transparent investigation.
