Dangote Offers N500,000 Reward for Truck Misuse Reports

Dangote Industries Limited has initiated a whistleblower program aimed at curbing the illegal use of its trucks. The company is offering a cash reward of N500,000 to members of the public who provide credible information that leads to the arrest of individuals involved in unauthorized transportation of goods using Dangote trucks.

This initiative is part of the company's efforts to safeguard the integrity of its nationwide logistics operations and eliminate activities by individuals misusing the Dangote brand for unauthorized commercial haulage. The statement from the company clarified that only trucks authorized to transport specific products, such as cement, limestone, high-grade gypsum, coal, clinker, and sugar, are permitted for such operations.

It warned that any Dangote truck found conveying unauthorized goods will result in the arrest of the driver and owner, confiscation of the cargo, and prosecution according to the law. Whistleblowers are encouraged to provide details including truck type, registration number, cab number, location, description of goods, color of the truck, and possible photographs.
