Dangote Group to Create Thousands of Jobs in Nigeria

The Dangote Group, through its Regional Director and Special Adviser to the President, Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, has committed to creating significant employment opportunities as it expands its business footprint across Nigeria and Africa. The company, which is Nigeria's second-largest employer, aims to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs through its various sectors, including petroleum, fertilizer, cement, agriculture, sugar, and salt.

Notably, the expansion of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which will process 650,000 barrels per day, is expected to create 95,000 skilled jobs during peak construction. The Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited, a major backward integration project, is also set to unlock new employment opportunities upon completion.

The initiative is part of Dangote's Vision 2030, which seeks to transform Nigeria into a consumption-based economy and a powerhouse in Africa. The project has garnered support from local government officials, including Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, who emphasized the need for a conducive environment for private sector investment.
