Dangote Employee Graduates MSc with Distinction from LASU

Valentine Ikenna, an employee at Dangote Petroleum & Petrochemicals, announced his graduation with a Master of Science degree in Chemical and Polymer Engineering from Lagos State University, achieving a distinction. He shared this milestone on LinkedIn in August 2026, attributing his success to institutional support, strong academic mentorship, and personal determination.

A significant factor in his ability to pursue this postgraduate degree was the financial backing he received from the Nigeria Agip Exploration Scholarship, which facilitated his research on optimizing fluid catalytic cracking spent catalysts for carbon dioxide capture. Ikenna expressed gratitude to his academic supervisor, Professor Kamilu Oyedeko, for his guidance throughout the research process.
