NNPC and Dangote Refinery Partner to End Petrol Shortages

NNPC and Dangote Petroleum Refinery signed a new crude oil supply deal to ensure steady allocation for domestic energy security. The agreement, valid until 2027, aims to end petrol shortages in Nigeria by reducing reliance on imported feedstock.

NNPC had previously allocated 82 million barrels to the refinery. Dangote briefly halted petrol sales in naira, causing concerns, but resumed after discussions.

The partnership reinforces the government's energy security initiative and strengthens the country's downstream petroleum sector.
