Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol and Diesel Prices in Nigeria

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as petrol and diesel, respectively. The price of petrol has been decreased by ₦50 per litre, from ₦1,215 to ₦1,165, while diesel has seen a reduction of ₦80 per litre, dropping from ₦1,650 to ₦1,570.

This announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Dangote Group, which emphasized the refinery's commitment to making refined petroleum products more affordable and accessible to Nigerians. The price adjustments are part of broader efforts to enhance energy affordability, improve access to quality petroleum products, and stimulate economic growth across the country.

The refinery also aims to maintain a stable fuel supply and improve operational efficiency, ensuring that consumers benefit from lower prices whenever market conditions allow. The statement reaffirmed the refinery's strategic role in strengthening Nigeria's energy security and supporting national economic development.
