Dangote Explains Why He Didn't Buy Arsenal FC

Aliko Dangote, the billionaire businessman and head of Dangote Group, disclosed his reasons for not buying Arsenal FC, despite having the financial means to do so. He had seriously considered purchasing the North London club a year ago when its valuation was within reach.

However, Dangote decided to focus on completing his multi-billion dollar refinery project in Lagos, which has become one of Africa's largest industrial projects. He stated that investing $2 billion in Arsenal would jeopardize his business interests and potentially hinder the refinery's progress.

Consequently, he chose to remain a loyal fan of Arsenal rather than its owner, continuing to support the club from a distance while wearing their jersey during games. As of now, Arsenal's market value has significantly increased, making a takeover less appealing.
