Dangote Group Denies Rift with Tony Elumelu

On Saturday, the Dangote Group issued a statement through spokesperson Anthoni Chiejina, refuting reports of a rift between Aliko Dangote and Tony Elumelu, the chairman of United Bank for Africa. Chiejina labeled the claims as false, malicious, and baseless, stressing that neither Dangote nor his group had made any remarks that could suggest a disagreement.

The statement clarified that Dangote does not finance any projects in a manner that would challenge Elumelu's business interests. Furthermore, the group expressed concern over the growing spread of fabricated statements and unauthorized use of Dangote's identity in misleading advertisements.

They warned that individuals circulating false information could face legal action, reaffirming their commitment to integrity and their role in driving industrial and economic development across Africa.
