Dangote Urges Nigerian Govt to Strengthen 'Nigeria First' Policy for Local Industries

Aliko Dangote, the President and CEO of Dangote Group, has called on the Nigerian government to amend the Public Procurement Act to strengthen and institutionalize the "Nigeria First" policy. Speaking at the 53rd Annual General Meeting of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) in Lagos, Dangote highlighted the importance of prioritizing local patronage to boost Nigeria's industrial sector.

He emphasized the necessity of clear legislative and institutional frameworks to enforce the policy effectively, ensuring compliance and sustainability. Dangote's recommendations aim to enhance Nigeria's industrial development and competitiveness.
