Davido Withdraws Custody Suit Over Daughter Imade

Nigerian singer Davido, born David Adeleke, has officially withdrawn his custody suit concerning his daughter Imade Adeleke, whose mother is Sophia Momodu. He initially sought sole custody but later clarified that he was seeking joint custody.

In an emotional Instagram story, Davido expressed that the legal battle caused unnecessary stress and hurt, stating there are no real winners in the situation. He described the courtroom experience as deeply disturbing, particularly referencing the mention of his late son Ifeanyi Adeleke during arguments, which he found to be an inappropriate low blow.

Davido decided to discontinue the case after feeling frustrated by the courtroom dynamics, especially criticizing the conduct of Sophia Momodu's lawyer, Ebelechukwu Egeonu, for being unprofessional and insensitive. He emphasized the importance of moving forward for the sake of his daughter, stating that they should focus on love rather than conflict.
