Davido Withdraws from Custody Case for Daughter Imade

Nigerian afrobeat singer Davido, whose full name is David Adeleke, has officially withdrawn from an ongoing custody case concerning his daughter, Imade Adeleke. He expressed strong displeasure during the court proceedings, clarifying that he initially sought sole custody but later requested joint custody.

Davido stated, "nobody won, nobody lost," and criticized the public's reaction to the case. He described the courtroom exchanges as deeply distressing, particularly due to references made to his late son, which he deemed unacceptable.

Davido decided to drop the case to focus on his daughter, stating that his actions were driven by love and a desire for a stress-free environment for her. He took to Instagram to criticize the opposing legal team's unprofessional conduct during the proceedings.

The case was highlighted by legal practitioner Maruf Muhammed, who noted the dramatic moments in the Lagos State High Court in Yaba, where Davido's patience was tested during cross-examination.
