Davido Criticizes Rarara Over Silence on Insecurity

Nigerian artist Davido publicly criticized fellow musician Rarara for his silence on the pressing issue of insecurity in Nigeria, calling it unacceptable. This exchange arose after Rarara posted a video on Facebook accusing Davido of portraying Nigeria negatively during his performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown concert.

Davido wore a jacket with the inscription "Bring Home" alongside the names of 39 abducted schoolchildren and seven teachers from Oyo State. He dismissed Rarara's comments as foolish and warned that such behavior could promote terrorism and damage Nigeria's international image.

In a response on X (formerly Twitter), Davido emphasized that no patriotic Nigerian should remain silent in the face of insecurity and criticized political sycophants who prioritize personal interests over the welfare of the people. He urged for a collective stand against insecurity, reinforcing the importance of truth and accountability in political discourse.
