Ganduje Calls Kwankwaso a 'Political Bird' Amid Defection

Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor of Kano State, made remarks regarding Rabiu Kwankwaso's political behavior, likening him to a "political bird" that frequently changes platforms. Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, initially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on March 30, citing internal crises within his previous party.

However, just a week later, he switched to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) alongside Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi. Ganduje noted that Kwankwaso's move to the ADC was not a threat to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and expressed confidence in the APC's stability in future elections.

He indicated that Kwankwaso's frequent party switches signal a decline in political stability and that the APC is prepared to face any challenges posed by Kwankwaso's actions. The governor also mentioned that Abba Kabir Yusuf, the current governor, is aligned with the APC to ensure political stability in Kano State.
