APC Chairman Addresses Recent Defections to the Party

The APC National Chairman commented on the recent trend of defections to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that many politicians are leaving other parties because they perceive them as failing. He made these remarks during a town hall meeting on Sunday, highlighting the APC's superior management and governance record.

The Chairman dismissed concerns that the increasing number of defections could undermine Nigeria's multi-party democracy, arguing that the defections are voluntary and driven by the APC's solid organizational structure. He pointed out that the party has successfully attracted politicians from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party, particularly noting a recent consensus arrangement in Osun State.

The APC currently governs 31 states and holds significant control in the national assembly, reinforcing its position as a major political force in Nigeria.
