ADC Chieftain Disappointed by Peter Obi's Defection

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from Katsina State expressed disappointment regarding the recent defection of former presidential candidate Peter Obi. The ADC leader, Inuwa, stated that Obi's exit has unveiled his true colors, indicating a lack of serious political commitment.

Inuwa accused the former governor of Anambra State of allowing personal ambitions to guide his decisions, which he deemed a significant political mistake. He emphasized that serious politicians should not be happy about losing members, as it undermines democratic processes.

The ADC leader made these remarks following Obi's acquisition of a membership card from the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) at a national headquarters event, which was also attended by NDC leader Seriake Dickson. Inuwa's comments reflect a broader concern about the implications of such defections on political integrity and democratic representation in Nigeria.
