Bolaji Abdullahi Critiques Peter Obi's ADC Defection

Bolaji Abdullahi, a prominent figure in the ADC, has publicly criticized Peter Obi's recent defection to the NDC, describing it as a premeditated move. Speaking on Arise News' Prime Time with Charles Aniagolu, Abdullahi asserted that the ADC possesses a clear ideological structure capable of providing credible alternatives for Nigerians, contrary to the notion that it serves merely as a vehicle for personal ambitions.

He dismissed claims that legal challenges influenced Obi's departure, stating that the ADC is not just a special purpose vehicle for individual interests. Abdullahi revealed that Obi had received significant concessions within the ADC, including the opportunity to be nominated as the national organizing secretary.

He also addressed concerns regarding Obi's support for the party, asserting that claims of favoritism towards particular candidates are unfounded. Abdullahi noted that Obi's defection was anticipated, citing a meeting held two months prior in Kano involving Obi, Kwankwaso, and former Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson, who indicated that the NDC remains an alternative platform for interested politicians.
