Morka Claims PDP No Longer Functions as Political Party

Felix Morka, a representative of the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserted that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is no longer able to call itself a political party. He attributed this to the ongoing internal crises within the PDP, which have rendered it incapable of providing a credible political platform for its members.

Morka made these remarks during an appearance on Arise Television's morning show, responding to the increasing number of defections from the PDP to the APC. He emphasized that the PDP's internal dysfunction prevents it from offering its members sensible and credible political action.

Morka also noted that the defections to the APC signify an endorsement of the ruling party and reflect a concerning trend towards a one-party state in Nigeria. He dismissed claims that Nigeria is becoming a one-party state as misleading, arguing that such assertions do not reflect the historical realities of democratic societies in Nigeria.
