Defence Minister Urges Support for Troops Amid Insecurity

On a recent visit to the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in Abuja, Defence Minister General Christoph Gwabin Musa reaffirmed the critical role of national support for troops engaged in combating insecurity across Nigeria. During his meeting with Pastor Lazarus Muoka, General Musa highlighted the need for a whole-society approach to address the challenges posed by insurgency, banditry, and terrorism.

He stressed the importance of prayer and encouraged religious bodies to continue uplifting the morale of deployed troops across various operational theaters nationwide. The Defence Minister expressed gratitude to Pastor Muoka and his church for their unwavering support and prayers for Nigeria's security institutions.

He called on religious leaders throughout the country to promote peace, unity, and patriotism, noting the strategic role faith-based organizations play in fostering harmony and supporting national security efforts. Pastor Muoka assured the Minister of the church's continued support for the armed forces and the federal government, praying for wisdom and strength for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to lead the nation toward greater peace and stability.
