Delta APC Launches Reconciliation for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has commenced a reconciliation initiative aimed at uniting aggrieved members and fortifying its grassroots structure in preparation for the 2027 general elections. This initiative was a focal point during the APC Delta North Stakeholders’ Meeting held in Asaba on Friday.

Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, urged party leaders to engage with aspirants who lost in the primaries and those feeling marginalized. He stressed the importance of unity, stating that internal divisions could jeopardize the party's electoral success.

Onyeme praised President Bola Tinubu for advocating state police, asserting it would enhance security across Nigeria. The meeting also endorsed President Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for re-election in 2027, with the motion moved by APC House of Representatives candidate Rt.

Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and seconded by Frank Esenwa.

Former Governor Senator Ifeanyi Okowa supported the state police initiative, emphasizing its necessity for effective local policing.
