APC Continues Reconciliation After Primaries Discontent

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is engaged in ongoing reconciliation efforts following discontent with the results of its primaries for the upcoming general elections. Honourable Bala Ibrahim, the Director of Publicity for APC, clarified in a telephone interview that the party had anticipated potential grievances and established reconciliation committees prior to the primaries.

He emphasized that the nature of contests involves both winners and losers, urging contestants to exhibit sportsmanship and accept the outcomes. Ibrahim noted that the party expects those who lost to trust the credibility of the process and support the winners.

He expressed disapproval of aspirants who choose to challenge the results in court instead of utilizing the party's internal conflict resolution mechanisms, stating that any repercussions for such actions would be determined by the APC National Working Committee.
