Delta PDP Celebrates Supreme Court Ruling on Leadership

The Delta State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its approval of the Supreme Court's ruling that upheld the Court of Appeal's decision, which nullified the Ibadan convention. Chief Kingsley Akpo Oturubo stated that the judgment is a testament to the rule of law and public opinion.

The PDP emphasized that the apex court's decision is final and resolves the lingering leadership dispute within the party. They called on party members to renew their social contract with the people of Delta State and prepare to reclaim their mandate in the 2027 elections.

The party expressed confidence in winning the upcoming race and urged members to unite under the PDP umbrella, emphasizing that the party remains a true democratic platform. The PDP congratulated its national working committee led by Abdulrahman Moham and Senator Samuel Anyanwu for their efforts, asserting that the party will overcome any challenges ahead.
