Delta PDP Urges Public to Disregard Leadership Vacuum Claims

The Delta State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), represented by Chief Kingsley Akpo Oturubo, has appealed to the public to disregard any claims of a leadership vacuum within the party. This statement follows a Supreme Court verdict delivered on April 30, 2026, which resolved a prolonged leadership crisis affecting the PDP.

Oturubo emphasized the party's intention to contest the 2027 general elections and continue its campaign activities. He noted that the Supreme Court's ruling upheld the validity of the current leadership led by Alhaji Abdulrahman Moham and nullified the factional crisis stemming from an unconstitutional convention in Ibadan.

The PDP plans to field candidates for the upcoming elections and is committed to rebuilding the party, encouraging members to unite and overcome challenges faced during the internal leadership disputes.
