Delta Police Neutralize Kidnappers, Rescue Victims

The Delta Police, under the command of Yemi Oyeniyi, successfully neutralized two suspected kidnappers and rescued female victims in an operation conducted by the Special Anti-Kidnap Cybercrime Squad in collaboration with military forces. The operation was initiated following a kidnapping incident in Ibusa, near the mega city of Ogwashi-Uku.

The suspects were traced to a hideout along the Obulu-Uku power line. Upon sighting the security team, the suspects opened fire, triggering a gun duel in which three members of the kidnapping syndicate sustained gunshot wounds.

The victims were successfully rescued, while the injured suspects were taken to the hospital, where one was confirmed dead by a doctor on duty. Items recovered from the scene included an AK-47 rifle, 19 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, and N4.5 million in cash.
