Delta Police Arrest Suspects, Recover Arms and Drugs

On April 4, 2026, the Delta State Police Command conducted operations in Ika South Local Government Area, leading to the arrest of several suspects, including Henri Obi. The operation was based on credible intelligence and targeted a criminal hideout in Agbor.

During the raid, police recovered an English-made pistol, six rounds of live ammunition, and illicit drugs concealed inside an air conditioning unit. Additionally, a separate operation near Hausa Market resulted in the arrest of four suspects: Yakubu Umar (19), Galiu Adamu (17), Nuhu Musa (16), and Zaraduwu Usman (21).

Items recovered from this operation included a large quantity of suspected illicit drugs such as Colorado, Canadian Loud, Indian hemp, and Tramadol, along with two local fabric battle axes and cash amounting to 144,000 Naira. The police, led by spokesperson Bright Edaf, noted that the suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue.

Delta State Police Commissioner Yemi Oyeniyi commended the operations and urged the public to remain vigilant and support security agencies.
