Dafinone Urges Unity and Participation on Democracy Day

On Democracy Day, Senator Ed Dafinone of Delta Central expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome its current challenges through unity and perseverance. He congratulated Nigerians on the commemoration of June 12, a date he described as historically significant, symbolizing collective sacrifice and resilience in the struggle for democracy.

Dafinone noted that Nigeria has made steady progress since the return to democratic governance in 1999, despite facing numerous political, economic, and social challenges. He stressed that democracy remains the best system of governance, providing opportunities for citizen participation and peaceful change.

Dafinone called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration in implementing reforms aimed at stabilizing and growing the economy, acknowledging that such policies require patience and sacrifice. He urged citizens, especially in Delta Central, to actively participate in the democratic process, including voting and obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), emphasizing that every vote is crucial in shaping the future of the nation.
