Uba Sani Compensates Malali Residents with Land Plots

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, has taken steps to compensate victims displaced by the demolition of homes in Malali Low Cost, which occurred under the administration of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai. The governor has offered new land plots to the affected residents, as presented by Dr.

Bashir Garba Ibrahim, the Director General of the Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS). This initiative is part of Sani's commitment to ensure justice for the victims, following a stakeholder meeting on January 21, which aimed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the demolitions.

Dr. Ibrahim advised beneficiaries to develop their plots quickly and cautioned against reselling the land.

Alhaji Moham Auwal, the chairman of the former Malali Low Cost residents, expressed gratitude towards Governor Sani for addressing their concerns after a nine-year struggle for compensation. The demolitions had initially affected 80 structures, and the residents had protested against the short notice given prior to the demolitions.
