Kwara Youths Empowered with Digital Skills Training

Deputy Senate Leader Lola Ashiru conducted a training program for 200 youths in Kwara, focusing on digital skills and information communication technology (ICT). This initiative, part of an annual empowerment program, trained 60 youths in its fifth series across seven local government areas in the Kwara South Senatorial District.

The program coincided with the Ramadan period, providing participants with sahur and iftar meals. Yunu Alabi, a senior legislative aide to Ashiru, stated that the training aimed to equip participants with digital skills to leverage technology for business growth and improve productivity in a technology-driven world.

Additionally, each beneficiary received a laptop and a transport allowance to facilitate their return to their respective destinations. Alabi expressed optimism that this initiative would boost socio-economic development in the district, enhance digital literacy, and improve business management among small-scale entrepreneurs.
