Kalu to Present State Police Bill Report in Plenary

Deputy Speaker Kalu will present a report on the state police bill during the plenary session of the House of Representatives scheduled for Tuesday. This bill seeks to amend the 1999 Constitution to provide for the establishment of state police services.

The report is a result of the work done by the Special Ad Hoc Committee, which was constituted to review the bill. The committee held an open meeting on Monday and subsequently dissolved the executive session to deliberate on the Senate's version of the state police legislative framework.
