Kwankwaso Meets Dickson to Resolve NDC Leadership Crisis

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the leader of the Kwankwasiyya faction of the New Democratic Congress (NDC), paid a late-night visit to Seriake Dickson in Abuja to discuss ongoing leadership crises within the Kano State chapter of the party. The meeting aimed to resolve disagreements over candidate nominations and a power-sharing ratio that has caused public discord.

The Kano chapter's leadership, led by state chairman Hussaini Isah Mairiga, has faced allegations of bad faith regarding the candidate roster, which was altered from an original submission. The Kwankwasiyya faction is advocating for a 60-40 power-sharing agreement, with 60% of party tickets allocated to them.

Recent changes have led to speculation about Kwankwaso's potential exit from the party. The meeting included Kano State governorship candidate Aminu Abdussalam and was part of broader mediation efforts to ensure party unity.

Dickson emphasized the importance of democratic processes and the need for the party to work harmoniously towards electoral success.
