Peter Obi Advocates for Unity and Production in Delta State

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), visited Delta State on September 24, where he joined the NDC governorship candidate, Deacon Chris Iyovwaye, along with party leaders and supporters at the inauguration of the party’s campaign office in Asaba. During the event, Obi emphasized the need for national unity, improved security, and a transition from a consumption-driven economy to one focused on production and job creation to address unemployment and poverty.

He expressed gratitude to Iyovwaye and the Delta party members for their dedication to the party and the state's development. Obi reiterated his commitment to electoral reform and democratic inclusion, promising that under his administration, election rigging would be severely punished and opposition parties would not face harassment.

He also assured that he would remain accessible to Nigerians if elected president, criticizing restrictions on political candidates in some states and advocating for equal campaigning opportunities.
