Expert Advocates Drone Development for Nigeria's Growth

Ndubuisi Franci reported that Okosubid Mozimo, Managing Director of ARCO Worldwide Services, stated the development of drone technology should be a key priority for Nigeria's national security and economic growth. During a memorandum of understanding (MoU) ceremony in Abuja, Mozimo disclosed that the partnership with the National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) aims to foster drone technology development and train young Nigerians in various sectors, including security, agriculture, oil and gas, medicine, and infrastructure management.

The MoU, signed by Mozimo and Dr. Olushola Odusanya, Director General of NACETEM, is expected to enhance drone technology in critical areas such as defense, logistics, and maritime operations.

Mozimo highlighted the importance of drones in modern warfare, referencing their successful use by countries like the USA, Israel, and Iran. He emphasized that Nigeria must not ignore this technology, which could significantly improve security and job creation in the country.
