Court Date Set for DG of Fake Agency in Abuja

Adeniyi Adeyemi, the Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), is scheduled to appear in the Federal High Court in Abuja on June 16, 2025, facing eight counts of forgery and impersonation. The charges, filed by police prosecutor Wisdom Madaki, stem from allegations that Adeyemi operated a fictitious agency from the second floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex in Abuja.

The case was prompted by a directive from President Bola Tinubu to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to investigate activities related to this fictitious agency within 30 days. The court documents list several witnesses, including Femi Gbajabiamila and various civil servants, who are expected to provide evidence against Adeyemi.

The prosecution plans to present documentary evidence, including a police investigation report and an alleged fake presidential appointment letter dated March 8, 2024. The matter was adjourned due to Adeyemi's reported indisposition.
