Nigerian Military Collaborates with US for Airstrikes on Terror Camps

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in Abuja confirmed collaboration between the Nigerian armed forces and the US military to carry out precise airstrikes on foreign ISIS-linked elements in North West Nigeria. The operations, approved by the federal government, are part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist networks and criminal groups.

Major General Samaila Uba emphasized the importance of degrading the operational capabilities of these targets while minimizing collateral damage. The joint operation underscores Nigeria's commitment to combating transnational terrorism and preventing the establishment of foreign fighters within the country's borders.
