Frank Mba Retires as Nigeria Police Leadership Changes

Deputy Inspector General Frank Mba, along with several senior officers, will retire from the Nigeria Police Force due to recent leadership changes. This follows the confirmation of Tunji Disu as the new Inspector General of Police, sworn in on Wednesday, October 23rd.

Mba's departure is anticipated as seven Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) are slated for promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General. The AIGs expected to appear before the Police Service Commission for the promotion exam on Friday include Margreth Ochalla, Kenechukwu Onwuemeli, Ishiaku Moham, Zachariah Fera, Zango Ibrahim, Umar Shehu, Nadada Muham, and Abdul Sulaiman.

Mba has had a distinguished career, having obtained a law degree from the University of Lagos and a master's degree from the University of Dundee, Scotland. He has also attended various international programs, including the FBI National Academy in Quantico and leadership courses at Harvard University and the University of Oxford.
