PSC Promotes Seven AIGs to Deputy Inspector General Rank

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has officially cleared seven Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) for promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG). This decision follows an interview process held on Friday at 9 AM in the chairman's conference room on the sixth floor of the PSC corporate headquarters in Jabi, Abuja.

The AIGs who passed the screening include Zacharia Fera, Achinyan Zango, Ibrahim Baba Isyaku, Margaret Ageb, Ochalla Moham, Abdul Sulaiman, Kenechukwu Onwuemeli, and Umar Shehu Nadada. The message issued on behalf of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tunji Disu, directed the officers to attend the scheduled session to refresh their knowledge in core areas of duty, including professional studies, relevant laws, and local police regulations.

The promotion process is part of the routine career progression within the Nigeria Police Force, conducted in collaboration with the PSC.
