Diri National Wrestling Classics Set for March 22-23, 2023

The Diri National Wrestling Classics, scheduled for March 22-23, 2023, in Bayelsa State, has received a significant boost as organizers have acquired mattresses to ensure athlete comfort at the Games Village. The initiative is part of the efforts by the Bayelsa State Sports Commission to honor Daniel Igali, a prominent figure in Nigerian wrestling.

Igali, accompanied by two board members, Lt. Colonel Okou and Olympic silver medalist Blessing Oborududu, confirmed the purchase of the mattresses.

He expressed optimism that this year's edition would be the best wrestling classic ever organized by the Nigeria Wrestling Federation. Additionally, Igali announced that 600 athletes are expected to arrive for the event, which promises to be an exciting occasion for all participants and attendees.
