DMO to Issue N5.75 Trillion in Bonds in Q4 2026

The Debt Management Office (DMO) plans to offer N5.75 trillion in Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) bonds during the fourth quarter of 2026, according to its provisional issuance calendar. The bond offers will occur across three auction dates in October, November, and December, with the largest amounts of N2 trillion scheduled for November and December.
The October auction is set for October 19, with offers totaling N1.75 trillion. This issuance follows a notable increase in bond allotments, with the Federal Government allotting N7.15 trillion in FGN bonds from January to September 2026, which is more than double the N3.48 trillion allotted during the same period in 2025.
The DMO intends to raise funds through three bond maturities: February 2034, September 2036, and June 2038. Nigeria's public debt stock was N166.79 trillion as of June 30, 2026, with domestic debt accounting for N91.59 trillion, representing 54.91% of the total debt portfolio.
