Doba Lagos Chapter to Hold AGM on June 12, 2026

The Doba Lagos Chapter is set to hold its second annual general meeting (AGM) on June 12, 2026, at JJT Park Alausa. The gathering aims to strengthen brotherhood among members and support their alma mater, Dekina College, amidst Nigeria's challenging economic realities.

Key speakers include Simon Ilabija Okpanachi, a member of the 1968 set and headboi, and Professor Isah Momoh from Salem University, Lokoja. The meeting will focus on practical outcomes rather than ceremonial speeches, with discussions on launching a professional network platform and job board for members.

Additionally, the chapter will explore partnerships to address infrastructure needs at Dekina College, including classroom renovations and scholarship programs for indigent students. The event coincides with the celebration of 27 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria and reflects on the historical significance of Dekina College, established in 1932 and transitioning to a full secondary school in 1960.
