Dolphin and First Bank Win at Zenith Bank Women’s League

The Zenith Bank Women’s League commenced with Dolphin and First Bank achieving victories in the competition held in Benue State. Organized by the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), the event showcased top-performing basic schools across the state.

It included competitions in the 100M race, relay race, long jump, and football for both boys and girls. Grace Adagba, Executive Chairman of Benue SUBEB, welcomed attendees and stressed the significance of creating platforms for talent discovery among children.

Governor Hyacinth Alia was commended for his transformative efforts in basic education, particularly in sports development. The Commissioner for Education and Knowledge Management, Margaret Adamu, and Vandeikya Local Government Council chairman, Dennis Guda, also praised the governor's support.

Aisha Garba, Executive Secretary of UBEC, represented by Zipporah Panguru, and former Super Eagles striker Samson Siasia encouraged young athletes to remain disciplined. The competition concluded with the presentation of trophies and prizes to outstanding performers.
