This clarification arose after social media speculation suggested that the award-winning artist had quietly parted ways with Mavin Records due to her increasing international profile.

Don Jazzy reassured fans on social media, stating, “Ayra my pikin, my celestial being, is still very much a Mavin abeg o,” effectively quelling the rumors. Ayra Starr, who joined Mavin Records in 2021, has gained significant recognition with hits like “Rush” and has become a prominent figure in Nigeria's music scene, expanding her audience globally through collaborations and performances.
