Ogun Youths Demand Engagement from Politicians at Summit

At the "Strategic Ijebu North Youth Retreat/Engagement" summit held at Omo Ilu Hall, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun youths urged politicians not to abandon them post-election. Organized by Farooq Adenugba, Special Adviser to the Governor on OPIC, Housing, and Special Projects, the summit aimed to consolidate APC structures ahead of the 2027 elections.

Youth leader Comrade Muizz Olatunji called for local industries, vocational training centers, improved rural roads, reliable electricity, local government autonomy, flood control measures, and permanent constituency offices. Adenugba stated the forum was for civic dialogue and grassroots mobilization for APC's "Project 2027." He announced the Ogun State government's approval for the reconstruction of the road connecting Olabisi Onabanjo University to Ijebu Igbo, with a six-month completion deadline.

He also expressed support for Senator Solomon Adeola as the APC governorship candidate and Governor Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East Senatorial seat. Deji Kalejaiye noted the importance of engaging over 2,000 youths in democratic processes.
