Nigerian Army Commandant Urges Soldiers to Remember Officers in Various Theaters of Operations

Major General Adebayo Adegbit, the Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport (NASST), emphasized the importance of recognizing and appreciating the gallantry of soldiers involved in various theater of operations across the country. Speaking during a West African Social Activities (WASA) event in Benin City, Edo State, Adegbit urged personnel to continue celebrating and honoring the sacrifices made by officers in different theaters of operation.

He highlighted the need for soldiers to maintain their professionalism and dedication as they face challenges in the upcoming year 2026. The WASA celebration, a long-standing tradition in the Nigerian Army, provides a social platform for officers to unwind and interact with family and friends.

Adegbit encouraged soldiers to consolidate their gains from 2025 and create an enabling environment for better performance in the future. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Nigerian Army, promoting unity through cultural diversity.
