Dortmund Aims to Close Gap on Bayern in Bundesliga Title Race

Borussia Dortmund is determined to cut Bayern Munich's lead in the Bundesliga as they prepare for a crucial match against the league leaders. Dortmund currently holds second place with 52 points, trailing Bayern by eight points with 11 matches remaining in the season.

The team recently faced a setback, suffering a 4-1 loss to Atalanta in the Champions League, resulting in a 4-3 aggregate defeat. This loss came after a strong performance in the Bundesliga, where Dortmund has not lost a league match this year, except for their previous encounter with Bayern in October.

The last time Dortmund secured the Bundesliga title was in 2012 under Juergen Klopp. They are also focused on securing a top-four finish to guarantee automatic qualification for the Champions League next season.

Meanwhile, Bayern's Harry Kane has been in stellar form, scoring twice in their last match against Eintracht Frankfurt and tallying 28 league goals this season, putting him on track to challenge Robert Lewandowski's record of 41 goals in a single Bundesliga season.
