Boko Haram Attacks in Niger State Leave Dozens Dead

Boko Haram insurgents launched coordinated attacks on several communities in Niger State, specifically targeting the Borgu Local Government Area. The attacks began early in the morning and continued for hours without intervention from security forces.

Residents reported that at least 26 people have been confirmed dead, with casualties recorded in districts such as Konkoso and Shafaci. The insurgents reportedly moved from village to village overnight, killing residents and destroying properties.

The attacks have heightened fears across north-central Nigeria, especially following a recent massacre in Woro Community, where terrorists killed residents and abducted 176 individuals, mostly women and children. Victims have been seen in disturbing videos pleading for rescue, with no ransom demands made yet.

As the violence continues, community members are fleeing their homes, fearing further attacks. Security authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the latest incidents.
