Driver Injured in Eko Bridge Collision Causes Traffic Congestion in Lagos

In Lagos State, a collision between a truck and a white car occurred on a Sunday morning on the Eko Bridge, causing severe damage to the vehicles and triggering a traffic backup. The driver of one of the vehicles sustained injuries and was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the accident and deployed personnel to manage the situation, including towing the vehicles involved. The incident led to slow traffic movement and a backlog along the Offin Canal corridor.

Efforts were made to streamline traffic flow by evacuating the affected vehicles from the scene. Eko Bridge, a crucial link handling a high volume of daily traffic, experienced disruptions due to the crash.
