Trucks Collide on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Two Injured

On Sunday, early in the morning around 4 AM, a collision involving two trucks occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Arepo Bridge, resulting in injuries to two drivers. An empty American Cola truck and a Seaco truck were involved in the accident, which caused a major traffic gridlock along the busy highway.

Eyewitness Mr. Ibukun Victoria reported that one driver suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital, while the other driver, Yakubu Musa, sustained minor injuries.

The crash was attributed to slippery debris left on the highway, which caused the trucks to lose control. John Emmanuel, a motorboy who joined the rescue team, noted that the debris was capable of causing accidents.

The Federal Road Safety Corps was on the scene to manage the situation and direct traffic, while police officers arrested individuals responsible for the debris.
