Drug War: FG Reiterates Commitment To Strengthen NDLEA, Commends Marwa’s Leadership

The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to strengthening the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) under President Bola Tinubu's administration. National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu made this pledge while commissioning 46 new vehicles distributed to strategic commands and formations of the NDLEA in Abuja.

Ribadu commended the Executive Officer, Brig Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), and his team for their sustained commitment, discipline, and energy in transforming the NDLEA into a formidable force against the destabilizing threat posed by illicit drugs in Nigeria. Marwa, in his address, highlighted the agency's achievements in arresting drug offenders, seizing illicit substances, and ensuring asset forfeiture, sending a clear message that drug crimes will face legal consequences.

The government's support and strategic backing have enabled the NDLEA to make significant strides in combating drug trafficking, addiction, and related security challenges, aligning with President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
