DSS Boss Adeola Ajayi Receives NUJ Man of the Year Award

Adeola Ajayi, the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), was honored with the "Man of the Year" award by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). This recognition was announced during the National Security Summit, which took place in Abuja from June 18 to June 19, 2026.

The summit was organized in collaboration with the DSS, under the theme "Media and Security: Agencies Partnering for Nation Building." Alhassan Abdullahi, the NUJ National President, stated that the award reflects Ajayi's commitment to fostering open dialogue and mutual understanding between security agencies and the media.
