‘DSS Fired Guns At Me’ – Sunday Igboho Accuses DSS Of Attempting To Kill Him During Raid

During a visit to the palace of Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, Sunday Igboho accused the Department of State Services (DSS) of attempting to kill him during a raid. Igboho, a freedom fighter wanted for confronting Fulani herders, claimed that DSS operatives fired guns at him during a raid on his residence in Ibadan on July 1, 2021.

He managed to evade capture and later fled to Benin Republic, where he was arrested at the airport while attempting to travel to Germany. After facing trial, he was released following intervention by Nigerian leaders.

Igboho recounted his ordeal to Oba Ogunoye, stating that divine intervention saved his life during the raid.
